HELLO! I'M ROSHNI
For me, art is not about freedom. The freedom to imagine worlds that don’t exist, to keep the child within me alive, curious, and unafraid of strangeness. My paintings are surreal and otherworldly because I believe the bizarre has power—it disrupts, it amuses, it unsettles, and in doing so, it wakes us up.
I am interested in in creating spaces where the imagination runs wild. Bright colors, absurd juxtapositions, dreamlike creatures—they are reminders that life itself is both humorous and terrifying, beautiful and strange.
To me, art is a portal: a way to question what we accept as “normal,” a way to reconnect with wonder, and a way to hold onto playfulness in a world that often feels too serious. Through the bizarre, I aim to touch something very human: our shared longing for connection, our need for laughter, and our hunger for magic.
