Dive into the World of Imagination: My Inktober Journey
Every October, artists around the world dive into a pool of ink and imagination — one drawing at a time. This year, I embraced the challenge of #Inktober with open arms.
The Magic of Inktober
The rules are simple: one post every day of October on Instagram with #Inktober. This is this year's prompt list.

When I first saw the prompt list, a rush of ideas flooded my mind. The structure was incredibly helpful, guiding my creativity in unexpected ways.
Sharing My Favorite Drawings from Inktober2025
Prompt 4: Murky

This prompt allowed me to draw one of my favorite creatures, the octopus. Did you know that octopuses release ink as a defense mechanism? It creates an illusion for their predators. I experimented with camel special waterproof drawing ink for the first time. The fractals it created were mesmerizing!
Prompt 6: Pierced

For this prompt, I chose to depict the primordial dark Goddess of Hindu mythology, Ma Kali🖤. She embodies rage and the urge to burn and destroy everything. 💀 According to legend, she had to fight a demon named Raktabija. Every time she cut off his head, multiple clones emerged from his blood. The only way to defeat him was to drink his blood.
Prompt 9: Heavy

Prompt 10: Sweep

Prompt 14: Trunk

Prompt 15: Ragged

I've always been fascinated with ancient Egypt. The pyramids, hieroglyphics, and their myths take us back in time. For this prompt, I drew a ragged mummy, reflecting their unique ritualistic way of dealing with the dead.
Prompt 16: Blunder

According to Greek mythology, Zeus ⚡ gave the first woman, Pandora, a box to keep. He strictly told her never to open it. However, curiosity crept in, and she opened the box, unleashing all the evils in the world. 👻👹😈 Hatred, jealousy, anger, and disease were unleashed. The world was never the same again. Humanity's biggest blunder.
Prompt 17: Ornate

This drawing is inspired by the Mayan Calendar. I was just a young girl when the Doomsday Conspiracy in 2012 was all over television. Digging deeper into the legend made me contemplate the vastness of time🌀 and the nature of the cosmos. ✨
Prompt 24: Rowdy

We call them Hell Riders. 🔥 Those who ride to seek a thrill. 🌀 In between life and death, the thrill hits. 🖤 The Rowdy Riders. 💀
Prompt 25: Inferno

This year, the Nepal Revolution was quite a spectacle. Witnessing so many young people take charge to kick out a corrupt government was inspiring. This drawing captures that moment when the parliament was in flames, and a helicopter was escaping with the ministers.
Prompt 28: Skeletal

This illustration of a meditating skeleton serves as a reminder that life and death are a spectrum. You are connected to the eternal flame. 🔥 Time is the only illusion. ✨
The Joy of Creative Expression
I found myself feeling a rush of playful excitement. Coming from an advertising background, I was often tired of boring, non-creative briefs. In this space, I felt free. It wasn't about perfection but about expression.
In this vibrant journey, I invite you to explore your own creativity. Let your imagination run wild. Whether you're an artist or simply someone who appreciates art, there's a world waiting for you to discover.
